Extreme HD Suspension Components
The Slash unassembled kit comes outfitted with factory-installed Extreme Heavy-Duty suspension components for ultimate strength and durability. The rear axle carriers, C-hubs, and steering blocks are beefed up with more material and stronger construction.
Easy-to-Follow Assembly Instructions
The full-color instruction book is easy to follow and fun to use. Each section corresponds to a labeled bag with step-by-step instructions. True-to-scale illustrations and ruler charts make it easy to differentiate between different parts. Helpful assembly tips and clear illustrations take the frustration out of the assembly process.
Clipless Body Mounting
Slash’s tough clipless body holds firm no matter how rough the action gets. Heavy-duty latches grip the body tightly, but release in just seconds to access the chassis. Slash’s hidden latching system replaces time-consuming and inconvenient body clips with large reinforced panels to resist pull-through damage.

- Clear Clipless Short Course Body: Includes window masking, decals, and custom masking decals. Tough front and rear tube-style bumpers and body reinforcements prevent pull-through damage. The clipless body holds tight for intense off-road action. Quick and easy removal. Smooth appearance with no body posts or clips.
- Waterproof XL-5™ Electronic Speed Control: Is equipped with three drive profiles; Sport Mode - forward / brake / reverse, Race Mode - forward / brake and Training Mode™ - 50% forward / brake / 50% reverse (patented). Setup is easy with Traxxas EZ-Set® one-button setup. LiPo and NiMH compatible ESC with two-stage low-voltage detection.
- Titan® 550 Motor: Powerful Titan 12T 550 modified motor with internal cooling fan is equipped with an oversized armature for big torque and increased power handling. Virtually maintenance-free operation, with molded wire retainer keeps motor wires secure.
- Extreme Heavy Duty Parts Installed: Strengthened heavy duty C-hubs, axle carriers, and steering blocks. Extremely heavy duty driveshafts, with extra material for improved strength.
- TQ™ 2.4 GHz 2-Channel Radio System: Ergonomic transmitter with internal antenna. Traxxas 6519 3-channel micro receiver with fail-safe security. The system is secured in a O-ring sealed watertight receiver box that keeps the receiver dry.
- Easy Access Battery Compartment: Adjustable battery hold down. Accepts 6- and 7-cell flat packs and 7-cell hump packs. Additionally accepts many 2S LiPo battery configurations.
- Transmission and Driveline: Velineon®-ready Magnum 272™ metal-gear transmission. Torque-Control™ slipper clutch system. Planetary gear differential with steel ring gear. Sealed gearbox protects the transmission with beefed up motor guard. External gear cover allows for easy clutch access.
- Heavy-duty telescoping U-joint driveshafts and yokes provides durability to the vehicle.
- Tough Fiber-Composite Monocoque Chassis: Long 13.2″ wheelbase for increased stability and over 3.5″ ground clearance for smooth handeling over rough terrain.
- Steering: Digital High-torque waterproof Traxxas 2075 steering servo provides high performance steering. The high-performance bellcrank system minimizes bump steer.
- Suspension: Adjustable steel turnbuckles allow for precise control and captured rod ends won't pop off during opperation.
- Springs and Shocks: Fully adjustable oil-filled Ultra Shocks™ with X-ring technology allows for a race-tuned progressive rate white powder-coated springs.
- Wheels and Tires: Pre-glued BFGoodrich® Mud Terrain™ T/A® tires with performance foam inserts. 2″ outer diameter, 3″ inner diameter dual-profile SCT wheels.
