Chris; an avid RC enthusiast as well as former dirt and asphalt street stock racer, and his wife Jodi; a Registered Nurse, are the owners and operators of Small Addictions RC located in upstate New York.
Small Addictions RC started out of the Montrose, Pennsylvania area in 2013 by supplying the local tracks with parts, online sales, and selling by appointment only to customers while Chris and Jodi worked full time jobs as the business grew.
Daily they shipped orders out of a warehouse location in PA, and eventually broadened their reach with the addition of an enclosed race trailer full of parts that they would travel with to special races in PA and upstate NY, all the while continuing to build their online presence world-wide.
Then, the opportunity arose in early March of 2016 to open a retail location at a track in Auburn, NY. The location began as a 'Pro Shop' with basic parts support for the racers. Chris and Jodi quickly realized the potential and need, for a local fully stocked hobby shop for RC enthusiasts. Understanding the retail hobby industry, Chris knew he could no longer do this part time, so he left his full-time job in October of 2016.
Shortly after Chris' full time switch, Small Addictions RC then took over both the ownership and management of the Auburn track in November of 2016. Jodi wasn't long behind him in the Spring of 2017 leaving her full-time position at the hospital behind her, giving Small Addictions RC the get up and go it needed. Over the next few years, Chris and Jodi steadily built up the business, putting in long hours and making the 2 1/2 hour commute one way from their home in Pennsylvania to grow Small Addictions into the monster it has become. All of this for YOU, our awesome customers!
In August 2018, Chris and Jodi made the official announcement that they have finally found the perfect location to accommodate the rapid expansion of their business. October 2019 the hobby shop opened in the new location in Binghamton NY. We are proud to say that we are the LARGEST RC hobby shop in New York!
